Building Work is Progressing at Mearns View

In December, the Home Manager at Mearns View, Terry, made a visit to the site in Newton Mearns to catch up with the Property Developer Director, to see how work on the 67-bed care home was coming along.

Walking around the building site, first impressions showed just how light and airy the home will be and as well as demonstrating an abundance of space for residents and staff to move around freely. It was great for the Home Manager to see how well the home is coming together seeing it at the first fix stage.

The carpets are ready to be laid, and the plastering on the walls and lights are to be fitted to the ceilings. After this stage, the home will start to take shape.

The care home will consist of 67 bedrooms, multiple dining rooms, expansive gardens, hair & nail salon, cinema room and garden café for residents to make use of on a daily basis which will be all included in the weekly fee for an all-inclusive way of living.

We can't wait for the day when residents can participate in our weekly activities programme organised by a dedicated Activities Team at Mearns View Care Home at East Renfrewshire where residents can enjoy a plethora of activities, taking into account their likes and interests.

We will soon be opening a marketing suite for prospective residents and family members in the next couple of months, with plans to have an official opening date shortly after.

We look forward to opening our doors in Spring 2023. Keep checking our News & Events page for further updates.
