Residential Care at Mearns View Care Home

Residential care is an excellent specialist care option for older people who are no longer able to live alone. Many individuals prefer to live in a residential care facility because it provides them with security, social opportunities and ongoing support on a daily basis. Our residents won’t have to worry about the upkeep of a property, instead, they can focus on the things that truly matter to them.

Residential care provides the support and assistance that’s required by each person in order to live the best quality of life. Our approach to care is more than just meeting care needs, it’s so much more than that. Our mission is to make sure all areas of a resident’s life are fulfilled including their mental, physical and emotional well-being.

Nursing Care at Mearns View Care Home

Nursing care is a care type suitable for those who need 24/7 healthcare from a team of registered nurses. Individuals living with physical limitations, critical illnesses or long-term health conditions will likely be highly dependent on others and are therefore the best recipients of nursing care.

Our nursing team provides compassionate, person-centred care to all residents in order for them to live comfortably and be happy at our home. Our purpose-built care home features modern nursing care equipment from nurse call systems to profiling beds and hoists which aids in providing effective care.

Dementia Care at Mearns View Care Home

Our dementia team is highly trained to help those living with dementia and provide specialist care. Dementia is a neurological condition that commonly affects a person’s ability to remember recent events, think critically or communicate with others like they once used to. Our dementia care plans, which includes nursing dementia care, are tailored to each individual as we understand that the condition progresses differently from person to person and some may only need minor assistance while others will need much more.

We offer a diverse range of activities for residents to enjoy, including those which are dementia-friendly; reminiscence therapy, music sessions, gentle exercise, art classes and sensory stimulation are greatly beneficial for our dementia and nursing dementia residents. We provide residents with the care and support that enables them to thrive in a friendly and safe environment.
